Interurban Trail — Saturday, Mar. 19, 2016

Puget Sound and Islands > Bellingham Area
Beautiful wide trail, even thru areas without views down to the water the trail is still very visually attractive.
We walked this trail by accident. We parked at the Fragrance Lake trailhead and were going to hike that for the first time. Unfortunately there was a marathon happening on the Interurban (at the end of the day we realized one of the tents was blocking the trailhead and thats why we never located it.) So we missed the trail head and ended up following all the marathon runners clear to Fairhaven. Although not the uphill hike or lake views we had expected it was a pleasent running trail we discovered. Beautiful views, well maintained, wide trail. I wish I'd had a jogging stroller instead of a 30lb child in a backpack. I would definitely recommend anyone who likes to run or wants an easy walking trail to try the Interurban!
Start of our adventure expecting to go to Fragrance Lake but about to get lost on the Interurban instead.
End of the hike, we remembered seeing a tent "check in point" set up here now that the tent was gone we could see our trail we had wanted
