This is a National Park so be sure to bring cash or a check. Be sure to check the tides when visiting this trail. Though this trail is not designed for strollers, I did take mine and my 5 month old in it successfully. I do have a jogging stroller with tires and shocks and I think anything else would not fare well. The upper trail approaching the beach is very flat, almost paved and has good shade coverage. The grade down to the beach is about 50 degrees so it may not be a great idea with a heavier child in the stroller. The beach portion is a true sandy beach with better footing in the wet sand and some smooth, rocky debris and drift wood. There is paved parking and flushing toilet restrooms. For more photos, click the link below. The Dungeness National Wildlife Park does abut the Clallam County Dungeness Recreation Area and I have included information about this park under it's own title. The two parks are actually seamless.

Nice pics! Haven't seen this trail report in quite awhile, and it's a good reminder that you don't have to head for the mountains for a good hike with awesome views!
Last time I was there, I had an otter shadow me about ten yards offshore for half a mile. Loved it!
