Pulled into the Buck Creek parking lot sometime after 10am. Picked up the trail on the other side of Hwy 410, and followed it up to the viewpoint (signed as Little Ranger Peak, though the actual Little Ranger Peak is a few more miles up the trail, according to the maps). Got some sun, but it wasn't clear enough for any views, so I didn't try to scramble down to the lower viewpoint area (that may or may not have better views). The trail was in good condition and clear, apart from a couple of large blowdowns that had to be climbed over/under/around. Encountered only one person on the trail.
