This is one great hike! It can definitely be a bit strenuous as it's almost entirely uphill. The good news is that it's a very wide and easy to follow path that starts right at the power lines in the north Steven's Pass parking lot. There's a point near the top where you step off the wide path, it's not at all easy to find. At least it wasn't when I was up there, and it looked like there were a few inches of fresh snow. Luckily my cell phone had perfect service and Google Maps actually shows the trail. Unfortunately the path on the map only brings you to the Skyline Lake, it doesn't bring you to the cool boulders or the peak. So I bushwhacked a bit and managed to get there just fine. Although when I tried to reach the real peak, I quickly realized that it would be a bit dangerous. It was very steep, and my snowshoes couldn't stick. After a few attempts I decided to call it quits and head back down. One important thing to note, the views are incredible on the way up to the lake. I can only image how amazing the view from the peak must be! I'll go back again soon to try and grab sunset or star photos up there.
