The trip up to the Katwalk was gorgeous! The section of the PCT gives you pretty much everything you are looking for in a day hike. Gorgeous mountain views, rocky talus fields, wild flowers blooming! It was a nice day too, not too hot like it has been for the last week. The only thing I will say about this hike is to bring plenty of water. There is only one source for water and it is about three miles in, the next source would be Ridge Lake about 1.5 miles after the Katwalk. The trail slowly gains elevation which was nice. I thought the Katwalk would be scarier than it was. It was a great hike. If you take dogs or kids be careful, some of those drop offs are large, really large. HAVE FUN!
