A friend had done this as a sunrise hike and her pictures were amazing, so I decided to jump on board and do the same thing. It was not a disapointment. I recommend this hike for everyone. We left Enumclaw about 2:15am and made the drive up 410 to Sunrise. We arrived at Sunrise at 3:20, the coolest part about the trip was seeing the headlamps of the climbers on thier way to the summit. We left the lot at 3:35 and headed down the Sourdough Ridge Trail to Frozen Lake then cut up to the the lookout. The hike was not bad, there was no snow until you reached the lookout. I had my head lamp on only about the first half hour of the hike, after that it was not needed. We reached the lookout at 4:50 and it was WINDY. And cold. Despite the wind the view was spectacular! The light pinks in the sky were just stunning. We climbed up to the lookout and prepared for the sun to rise. At 5:11 am the sun came up over the horizon. There aren't words or pictures to describe it. I was in awe and kept thinking, I should do this more often. We hiked back down after taking about a zillion pictures. Passed a few hikers on the way in. Be careful at the lookout; that wind will take a person out. I would do this hike again in a heart beat.

Shells McBells on Fremont Lookout
I am too! It was worth the lack of sleep to do it. I will be returning.
