It always feels good on the PCT! Took off heading nobo out of Chinook Pass. The first two miles are easy and they take you to Sheep Lake. Awesome spot to do an overnight, which is what I will be doing next weekend. We hung out at the lake for a while and then headed up to the Gap. The trail was in great condition and the wildflowers are a blooming. The higher up you get the better the views are. The 1.5 had about 700 feet of gain, so it was not too bad. When we reached the Gap the views in both directions were astounding. It was a great hike with some great friend. You could easily continue on making this a multiple day backpacking trip by parking one car at Crystal Mountain or even Goverment Meadows. I will be back...next weekend. :)
I just thought was cool. :) Photo Credit: Shelly Rae Mann
