Melmont Ghost Town — Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015

Mount Rainier Area > NW - Carbon River/Mowich

VERY MUDDY. The ghost town is non existent just about half a mile from the bridge is a brick house known as the powder house to hold explosives the town was just passed that on the right in the valley if you keep hiking past that you have gone past the ghost town. We hiked about a mile and a half past got to the carbon River then gave up and turn around. Too much mud❗
