Popular for dog walking, jogging, and mountain biking Shoreline’s Hamlin Park offers an interesting trail system accessible year-round.
The oldest park in Shoreline is abundant with woody natural areas interspersed between ball fields, playgrounds and school grounds. Trails through large second-growth trees range from the kid friendly paved bike loop that wraps around baseball fields, the gravel out and back trail through the middle of the woods flanked by a series of steeper single track trails that weave through forested contours.
Hamlin Park’s hilly topography makes for great trail running. Follow the white arrows to track the two-mile trail running course loop. Dense woods open up to mountain views.
Take a spin along the center gravel trail before picking your path through up and down the short but fun hills. Connect to the South Woods for a loop around the perimeter of both parks.
These trails are accessible year round. Don’t hesitate go to explore, but be mindful of visiting the densely wooded area during heavy windstorms.
Enjoy Hamlin Park, urban oasis of natural beauty.
