Grace Lakes in the rain and dense fog was so utterly unappealing, we drove right through the thick weather for a dry and warm snow hike without our snowshoes. The facilities and gate here are closed, but you can park on the substantial Highway-2 shoulder, for a beautiful river walk in any season. This one's great for kids and dogs and when you just want to get out on the snow.
