My wife and I headed east to see fall colors. Rainy Lake was beautiful, Washington Pass Overlook was awesome, and the Beaver Pond on Patterson Mountain was stunning just before sunrise.
The colors along the highway were brilliant, and the larch in the mountain were golden.
We stayed overnight in a quaint riverside hotel in Winthrop and enjoyed a great dinner at Carlos' 1800 Mexican restaurant.
A very nice outing in a gorgeous area.

Hotel Rio Vista
We stayed at Hotel Rio Vista on the river. It is a nice 3-star hotel with a friendly staff.
