Beautiful day on the Key Penninsula. We camped at Penrose Point state park and enjoyed wading in the bay and hiking. Great hike for kids. Easy slopes, cool trees and awesome views. Careful on the beach walk because of rocks with barnacles. My son slipped and cut his knee. BUT do not be deterred. It's got beautiful scenery - bay and other islands - along with lots of hermit crabs, mussels, snails and other residents of the water to find and observe. Wear water shoes and you can walk out past the harder terrain and find soft sandy bottom that is still kid friendly water. They had a blast. We will return and enjoy more of this area.
