I was able to convince my out of town visitor to take on Rattlesnake as a sunrise hike to avoid the crowds. I highly suggest it if you want a little quiet on this busy trail. This was my third time up there and the sunrise makes it that much more beautiful. It was chilly and windy, but not unbearable. Even though we were at the TH at 0630, we still shared the rocks with 4 other people and passed about 20 people on our way down.
Trail is in great condition: no snow or ice. A little muddy here and there.
