Puget Sound and Islands > Seattle-Tacoma Area
Side trail over Ravenna Creek
Just a quick day hike, not far from home. We arrived at the western end of the parks and followed the trails southeast to the point where the ravine opens up. Then we turned around and headed back. Along the way, we took time to explore some of the small bridges that cross Ravenna Creek. Fall colors were out in force, and squirrels and birds were playing. I noticed some nice sitka spruce cones, too. It was rainy, but not too inclement. We saw joggers, bikers, children playing, and an irascible homeless man along the way.
