South Cascades > White Pass/Cowlitz River Valley

Spent the day on snow-shoe trails around the Nordic Center at White Pass, and also on a section of the PCT that connects to the Nordic trails. It was 12 degrees when we started out, but the weather was incredible, crisp blue sky, great snow, and good friends. Leach Lake was beautiful covered in snow. I'd recommend trying the White Pass Nordic area to anyone interested in x-country skiing or snow-shoeing. There are marked snowshoe trails throughout the area, not only x-country groomed trails.
