Sweet Creek Falls Interpretive Trail — Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012

Eastern Washington > Selkirk Range
Trail map--about 1 mile total.
The trail starts from the parking lot of a rest stop on the International Selkirk Loop (a driving route through Washington, Idaho, and Canada). The entire trail system (of which there are three parts) only totals approximately a mile, but the views of the falls make this well-worth the stop. The rest area is located between Ione and Metalline, making it a nice side-trip addition to any visit to the Salmo Priest Wilderness, the nearby trails in the Colville National Forest, or Crawford State Park. The trail is partly wheelchair accessible, and the rest is in fabulous shape (despite the over-the-top warning signs regarding trail danger).
