Red tide
Red tide! I don't know if this was the kind of red tide that makes shellfish poisonous or not, but it truly was red! Also a nice minus tide, so there were lots of intertidal sea life under and around rocks. A green larvae or bug of some sort amoungst the green seaweed, I'd never seen that before either. 2 herons, fledglings, I think, were fishing along the flats. A nice beach walk if you can't go to the Mtns.

A resonse to your post on my post

Muledeer,

I responded to your post on my post of my hike that covered the North Cascades NP and Pasayten Wilderness, but I don't know if you get an e-mail from WTA letting you know I responded. I thought I would respond on one of your older posts to not try and make a scene. :)

I thought about what you said; "Too bad you can't fit in more pictures, they would be fun to see, especially for those of us who will never be able to make a trip like this."

I decided that I would start to share some of my longer hikes with the hiking community via movies on youtube, so folks who could never experience a hike like this one will get to share in the beauty and solitude. The movie for my hike can be seen at:

If you did get my reply on my post, then sorry for the intrusion. Thank you for the comment as it has inspired me to share my adventures.
