Fantastic day to snowshoe. We wanted an easy trek to try out our new snowshoes, and this hike did not disappoint. Easy access to the trail from the West parking area. Lots of people at the trail head, but once we got about 1 mile in the people thinned out considerably. We had our 2 dogs (a golden and a black lab) and they loved the trails and the new deep powder was fantastic to hike in. The snow on the trail was packed down good and the trail was a nice moderate hike for the afternoon. Highly recommend this hike if you are looking for a nice beginner snowshoe hike or a hike to just get out for a couple hours.
