Beautiful fall day for a hike! Started up Woody Trail to the Lower, Middle, and Upper Falls. Each falls had its own special element. I then went over toward Wallace Lake. Missed one of the turnoffs as the sign is at a tough angle to see approaching from the Upper Falls. Ended up hiking steeply up the hillside behind the lake. Great views of Mt. Index and fall colors. Back on the trail to Wallace Lake, there was a stretch where beavers had dammed up a small stream and the trail was a pond for 50 meters!
