After turning around at the creek a year or two back we went back to take on Bare again. This time the good news started with the road being clear all the way to the trailhead. The good news continued as we were able to cross the stream mostly dry thanks to the rope and log crossing the creek now. Mostly and not completely dry due to Ella falling in while reaching for the rope. After the initial shock she was fine from there on out. The vegetation is truly as overgrown as advertised and the footing in that part is sketchy with lots of holes and ruts. Those who brave the jungle, though, will be treated to tons of berries which were just ripening when we went up. Our stay at the summit was brief thanks to clouds that rolled in and the fact the summit is much more precarious than advertised. Very steep on three sides. No issues on the way out as we cruised quickly thanks to another round of pinecone wars.
