North Cascades > North Cascades Highway - Hwy 20

First thing we noticed was all the new Trail head signs all along Hwy 20. Wheelchair accessible, paved to a lookout on a ledge overlooking Liberty Bell Mtn. Snow is coming soon, so check snow reports but it was sunny and brisk on this Fall day. This area is worth the trip, which is 160 miles from Seattle, Kirkland. Views are spectacular. You will find Lake Ann, Blue Lake in the same general area, so if this one doesn't get your heart pumping fast enough check out the many choices nearby.
