South Cascades > Mount Adams Area
Crofton Butte by Janet Robinson

Road to the trail head is very doable. Rough washboard, potholes, and a few dips, but passable in our Eurovan without 4wd. Pit toilet is nice and clean.
We hiked the Crofton Rodge East trail about 1.5 miles and then scrambled (more like an easy walk in an open field with a lot of fallen trees to hike around and over) to the top of Crofton Butte. Gorgeous views of Mt Hood, Mt Adams, and Mt St Helens from the top of the boulder at the summit. There is a very doable climbing spot to the top of the huge boulder, walk around the boulder to find it.
Almost all the logs have been cleared (just one huge one remaining which you can easily climb over) and the trail is easy to follow. Thank you WTA for the many, many cuts.
