PSA: there’s a burn ban in Washington right now. And campfires are never allowed at Tuscohatchie Lake anyways.
Was disappointed to find an illegal campfire at the lake with embers still burning. It had been going for hours (I smelled the smoke in the morning and my dog found the fire pit in the afternoon). Even on a cool and cloudy day, the forest material was really dry and burning hot. It took 6 liters of water to fully extinguish the last of the embers.
On another note, if you lost a Kula Kloth between Pratt and Tuscohatchie, it’s hanging by the side of the trail now (see photo).
Also, blueberry season seems to be done.

Thank you for preventing a forest fire.
