Palisades — Tuesday, Jun. 9, 2026

Hiked up to the 3rd overlook on Palisades today. gorgeous chill trail once past the blowdowns! As mentioned in previous reviews, the gnarly blowdown just before the stairs is still there (last picture). Not your beginners blow down, that's for sure. Use a lot of caution and pick your footholds very carefully, especially on the way back.

Besides that blow down, the trail was really pretty chill! Some sun, some clouds, some rain... overall such a nice hike. A few other trees down but small potatoes compared to that first big mess.

I was glad for a chill 9ish miles... hoping my exercise induced asthma can acclimate to 10 miles again slowly, it's been really harshing my vibe.
