Went up to Plummer yesterday with the Mountaineers. Beautiful day at Rainier. The route to Plummer is still very snowy. We parked at Reflection Lakes and the snow starts from the TH. The snow was soft and there was some post holing, but not much. Used ice ax and helmet for most of the trip. Followed the trail to Pinnacle saddle, more or less and then got on the ridge towards Plummer. The ridge has a lot of snow/cornices and we negotiated that carefully. Got a bit turned around, but found a way up there. Once on the ridge it is pretty easy and you have a clear view of your destination. Lots of marmots on the lower parts of the trail

Oh wow, I kind of assumed that most of the snow would have been gone. Thank you for the report and photos.
