Parked at the Prairie Ridge Trail lot and walked by the Ebey's House and Block House. Unfortunately, they were closed. The house has a nice looking tiny, little museum. A chilling history, death by beheading for Col. Isaac Ebey.
We took the Prairie Ridge Trail to the Bluff Trail and headed down to the beach. A long rim of kelp bordered the water's edge, everything looking so healthy and pristine. The sun was out in full and the wind was it's usual gale force. You really need a hat and sunglasses anywhere on the edge of a large body of water. I ended up with a bit of an earache and wind burn.
Retracing our steps, we continued along the Bluff trail until we could see the lagoon. There were a handful of people here and there.
What a contrast, seeing the open farm fields, ending at the rocky beach and the Salish Sea.
About 3.7 miles in total.
