My first time up here. This trail runs alongside the Nooksack River and starts off Marine Drive near the Town of Ferndale. Unfortunately, I started off at Slater Road which is about the halfway point so I will be back to complete it all. This is a very flat gravel trail and nice for Walking, Hiking or Mountain Biking. I will be back to complete this trail with my Mountain Bike. There are not a lot of spots to view the Nooksack River but there were a few. Hovander Homestead Park along the trail and Tennant Lake at Fragrance Garden were a plus along a spur trail. Climbing the Tower at Fragrance Gardens gives to a nice view of Tennant Lake.
