Dosewallips River Road, Main Fork Dosewallips River — Sunday, May. 10, 2026

A small saw team from the Gray Wolf Trail Crew biked up the Old Dosewallips Rd, clearing two logs along the way.  We parked our bikes at Dose Campground, and hiked a half-mile up the Dosewallips Trail to a 40-inch log across the trail that was a stock barrier.  We first cleared two adjacent snags that posed a danger to us and to hikers, then tackled the big log.  It was an unusually stubborn log, requiring many cuts and lots of pushing to get all the chunks rolling and cleared from the trail.  We ultimately prevailed.
