I think that I might need to take some time away from flowers. Mind blown today when I finally recognized the difference between Bulbiferous Fringecup and Prairie Star Flower! I mean, I’ve known that these are two different flowers for years but Until today I could not have told tou what it was. 🤯
But yes, the hike. Easy tread, a little brushy at times, one serious washout at about three miles. This is not terribly difficult for humans, horses will have a real problem.
We ID’ed ~30 flowers, enjoyed the cleared trail (thank you Methow Trails Collaborative), and had lovely conditions. Nobody else on the trail.
