Mount Si — Monday, Apr. 27, 2026

Snoqualmie Region > North Bend Area
Cloudy day on top of Si

Another classic hike to do before I move abroad this summer. Had not climbed Mt Si since the very beginning of Covid in March of 2020. Took today off work and headed out early. Cold and cloudy day--much different weather than the 70 degrees and sunny the day before. Arrived at 6:15 am. Two other cars in the lot. As others have noted, many potholes as you turn into the parking lot (not as bad heading out). Great morning on trail--saw one ascending hiker at the interpretive area halfway point (then never saw them again), and one hiker coming down just below the summit. No trail obstacles. Arrived at summit 8:15. I think I was the only one at the summit during the half hour I was there. Really cold, slightly windy and totally socked in while I was up there. Too cold to really enjoy much time on the summit. I ate and made myself stay a bit to feel like I had spent some time there, but I needed to get moving again. Counted 34 people ascending as I made my way down. Got back to the trail head at 10:45. Miles: 8; Wildlife: 4 Douglas Squirrels.
