CCC Road: Blowout Creek Trailhead — Friday, Apr. 17, 2026

No issues on the Bessemer road portion of the hike. We headed south on the CCC trail and ran into about 4 blowdowns that were too big for us to cut but we did some clearing of limbs and other smaller stuff. Pee Wee did fine with all the creek crossings except one which he wanted to be carried. Just before the Wise creek bridge there is a fresh washout that is easy to cross after I placed some stepping rocks. We went 6+ miles RT with 875’ gain. There was some snow next to the trail in some spots. Nice walk in the woods with some occasional views.
