Ancient Lakes — Sunday, Apr. 12, 2026

Now is a great time to hike at Ancient Lakes. Flowers are blooming but are not prolific like other wildflower hikes, waterfalls are flowing and there are minimal bugs! Backpackers were out it’s clearly a popular spot! Weather was ideal cloudy and cool in the morning and quite hot in the full sun by noon. We ran the ancient lakes trail race and it was a great way to tour the area in one day.
