It is a winter wonderland as you hike farther up the road. I blazed a boot path to the top.:) The snow, I think, would be too soft for snow shoes to help.
Trail conditions:
- Snow free up to the road. I stepped over 3 fallen trees, no problem.
-Turning right from the trail onto the road, snow is intermittent for the first 1/2 mile.
-As you hike farther up the road the snow accumulates between 4-10 inches. So, it becomes a trudge.
- Continuing on the road to the right beyond the gate the snow depth increases a bit, and a little more the last stretch.
