On this beautiful and windless day in the high 50’s we meandered less than 2 miles on the Eightmile Creek Trail and Ranch Trail to check out the bloom in the area. The lupine bouquets were mostly just buds. There were several bouquets of balsamroot blooming and nine stem desert parsley were starting! I think it will be 2-3 weeks before peak bloom for the area! Meadowlarks were heard, but none came close enough to get a picture! A highlight was watching a parasailer! We talked to hikers who had started at the Crawford Oaks TH and they told us there were more wildflowers blooming ln the lower trail suction.
