We stopped at Twin Sisters Rock on our way home from Walla Walla. It’s just outside of Pasco along the Columbia River and offers great views of the Twin Sisters rock formation, with the river and basalt cliffs in the background.
It’s really a choose your own adventure hike. You can take paths up to the Sisters and to two high points on either side. We probably covered two miles to see the Sisters from multiple perspectives. There are some loose rocks as you climb up and in between the Sisters. A cable allows braver souls to edge around one of the stacks.
It’s a perfect time to hike in this area. The weather was sunny yet cool, balsamroot has just burst with yellow flowers, and the rattlersnakes are still underground.
