Issaquah Alps > Cougar Mountain
Doughty Falls from upper side view

Third report on Cougar Mt in 10 days. My friend and I would have probably gone to Twin Falls, but I saw on the park’s website that the viewing platform for the Lower Falls was closed due to damage. So we sought out three of the waterfalls here. We ended up using 11(!) different named trails in a 7 mile loop. I’m just posting this report with the three trails that the waterfalls are located on or near. There are so many different trailheads and routes to choose as well as up to 4 different waterfalls to see. Now is a great time to see the falls. I thought they were good last week and they were flowing even more today. But all the snow is gone now, so this could be their current peak flow. Couldn’t even tell there was any snow here recently. Muddy trails here and there to be expected. Lots of tree debris to get through and around. We thought we heard some chainsaw work midday as we started our hike, so much of this will probably be addressed soon.
