The big parking lot is closed, so a few dozen cars lined the road on both sides, but the Cedar Butte parking lot had plenty of space, though it had a bunch of snow in it. Fat muddy tire tracks covered the main trail. Not attractive, but easy to walk on. I put on spikes at the Cedar Butte trail, which had enough tracks to show the trail, but was still pretty snowy. There were lots of spindly blowdowns which weren't hard to pass, but were annoying enough that I decided I wasn't enjoying the scenery enough to put up with it, and turned around. Back at the trailhead, I checked out the lake, which was lovely.
