Trip Report

Cumberland Creek Conservation Area — Monday, Mar. 9, 2026

North Cascades

We had a bit of everything today, rain, hail, snow flurries, and sun. This area was very muddy today so come when the weather has been drier for a while.  We trudged down the Old Scout Camp Road and looped back on the Oxbow Pond Trail when we'd had enough of the mud. We decided to finish by taking the Leaf Trail out to Cumberland Creek and back which was less muddy. There's a bench there to have a snack. We heard lots of birdsongs but didn't have any success photographing them. See link below for more information, this is near Sedro-Woolley.
