First hike of the season and one of the last hikes I'm going to do before moving abroad. Arrived at trailhead about 9:30 am, after driving past a very swamped Rattlesnake Ledge parking area and road. Pretty busy for Cedar Butte--saw about 15 people during the hike. I feel like I am seeing more Cedar Butte trip reports these days. Lots of people with friendly dogs. Quite a gathering on the summit--about 8 people. Got back down to trailhead 11:15. Very nice to start March and the post-snow period. 4.4 miles; Wildlife: none.
