Trip Report

Washington Park Arboretum — Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2026

Puget Sound and Islands > Seattle-Tacoma Area

The cherry plum trees are blooming on the Waterfront trail. This trail also has a wealth of birds: eagles, herons, many species of waterfowl, red-winged blackbirds, and more. There are at least 2 beaver dens. If you like large civil engineering, seeing the 520 bridge from below is kinda kool. It makes me happy to see that they planted native plants underneath 520 and built trails and walkways.
