Trip Report

Snoqualmie Falls — Sunday, Feb. 22, 2026

Snoqualmie Region > North Bend Area

It was pouring rain in Redmond when we decided to head to Snoqualmie Falls. Rain had stopped by the time we parked in the lower lot. (It was 75% full.)

We headed up the trail to the upper falls viewing platforms. It had been a couple of years since we done the trail. It felt shorter than I remembered. A beautiful mix of Cedars and Douglas Fir, some big guys in the mix. A mini forest immersion. The waterfall and river seemed very low compared to the time we'd seen it after the fall flooding.

The small gift shop has been redone since we'd last been in, almost 10 years ago? It has a small exhibit area, native paintings and photos with a video and seating area. Lots of nice stickers, cards, candles, sweatshirts, hats... with a small amount of Twin Peaks paraphernalia. The outside deck has also been redone. Very nice seating, woodwork and coffee/bakery stand.

Heading back down we went to the lower falls overlook. There was a heron in the river biding his time. :) And a seagull flying in upward ascending circles. It was great to get out and see it all again. So many beautiful exhibits some that talk about Puget Sound Energies work and some that honor the native local Snoqualmie Tribe.

About 2.2 miles.
