Along the Wonderland trail the new log bridge across Kautz Creek has been washed down stream. There is another much smaller log I used at the downstream end of the "island" in the channel bed. Another downed tree must be crossed after the creek crossing. Be mindful in this area as it is easy to posthole amongst the rocks. I took my time and did a lot of pole probing to locate large rocks to rock hop through this area. I only postholed once. I used micro spikes and the fresh snow help with traction. I made it over to Pyramid Creek where the water level is low enough to cross via wet rocks. I opted for lunch as it was late enough I knew I would not reach my destination. The 27° Temps a constant snow were also a deterrent.
Saw no one all day , lots of Snowshoe hare , squirrel , and even grouse tracks . I came up Rampart Ridge and exited via Wonderland. Spectacular day in nature!
