Puget Sound and Islands > Seattle-Tacoma Area
Indian plum

Early spring is here in spite of the snow. The very beginning of the spring wildflowers here, Indian plum, pussy willows and alder (I think) catkins. The trails were muddy with puddles in spots, but hey, this is the PNW. We walked up the small hill and around, then down to the pond by the hwy. Back up the hill to the other end of the trail where there is a small circle. Back down by road and up the paddle trail, then back by the other two ponds. There were some ducks (widgeons) in one of the upper ponds, mallards in the one by the road. Leisurely walk but we got our step count in. Parking is plentiful and there is a loo back by the patio where the raised beds are. Clean today. Lots of dog walkers on this trail, all leashed. Nice afternoon walk  when you don't want to drive too far.

Great photos! I love that place. They have a nice Dahlia patch each late summer.

I have yet to go on the poo tour, I heard it's pretty interesting.
