Bridge Collapse: If you hike approximately 0.7 miles beyond the decommissioned ranger station (at the end of the road and campground), you will need to cross Pass Creek. The bridge across Pass Creek has collapsed (see picture). I was able to go across by carefully scooting. Crossing the creek below the bridge would be safer, but the water level is high enough that your feet would likely get wet. For me, if I were carrying a fully loaded backpack, I would not have used the bridge. Also, over time the collapsed bridge will likely become more dangerous as the water rushing through will weaken it.
Snow-free to Dose Forks Campground where I turned around.
Temperature: Notably cooler through and beyond the campground.
