Notch Pass is a lovely trail that WTA worked on yesterday (1/26/26). Our crew focused on rebenching the tread and clearing organics from the trail surface to improve drainage. A previous work party had already brushed back the dense ferns, so we removed the cut vegetation from the trail corridor as well. We also cleared two logs from the trail—one using a crosscut saw and another with an axe since it was rotten and waterlogged.
It’s a beautiful, super green trail with lots of alder and maple. We ran into a few hikers who went farther up than we did and they said the upper bridge is still broken but easily passable.
