Lily and Lizard Lake Loop, Oyster Dome — Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026

I did a nice 8 mile loop starting at Samish Overlook, going up to Oyster Dome and then coming back down in a loop past Lily and Lizard Lakes. Trail was in good shape with just a few muddy spots. I saw four woodpeckers in the last couple miles.

I found a dog’s rabies tag on the trail a little below Oyster Dome - see photo. I put it on the ledge on the back of the information board at the Samish Overlook parking lot.
