I selected "intermittent snow - not hard to cross" because it was not hard to cross. I was able to walk fine in hiking boots and left the snowshoes in the car. Snow layer on top was icy so not the best snow. We came here so the kiddo could practice xc skiing and we didn't want to pay extra for the sno-parks since it sounded like the snow wasn't great there. Outhouse was closed.
Likely will need 4WD to get to trail head parking lot (which is fully covered in snow.) Previously when we did not have 4WD, we have parked at the nearby elementary school and walked over to the trail which isn't that far.
Enough snow for a small child to practice xc skiing. We like coming here since it's never crowded (at least this time of year.)
