Mount Si via Mount Teneriffe Trail — Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2026

Got a late start due to traffic southbound on I-5.  Tough to know how early to leave these days.  Definitely before 7!  Mt Tenerife TH lot has regular pit toilets now.  Clean and well stocked. 
Started hike up Tenerife trail close to 1045.  Lots of water running on the lower streams and lower falls running strong (I did not go to Tenerife falls).  Past Roaring creek I headed up and over to Talus loop.  One large old tree down at the end of the talus field trail.  Continued on to hit the regular Mt Si trail.  Very few people out today in that trail as I headed up.  No snow all the way to the false summit where I stopped to admire the high peaks and valley encroaching clouds. The sun was out and had short sleeves on at the summit.  Went back down at a good pace to beat the fading sun.  Great outing and workout as always. Also VERY happy for my 400th report!
