Timing: Arrived at 10am on Wednesday 1/14/26.
Road: Completely clear across Snoqualmie pass; some crunchy snow on the forest road immediately near the trailhead, but the vast majority of the forest road was 100% snow and ice free and easily accessible for any vehicle.
Trail: Crunchy, crunchy, crunchy. Poor conditions for cross country skiers and snowshoeing. We used spikes but boots would likely have been fine. The sun was starting to melt and soften patches by the time we left. Trail was to follow. No snow left on the trees.

The Gold Creek area will close every April 1 – Nov 30 through 2028 for a restoration project.
