There's a new tree down on the east side of the lake loop right before the second bridge. It came soooo close to taking the bridge out, but just missed. The trail is currently a bit messy there, but it is easily passable and there doesn't seem to be any damage to the bridge structure. I know WTA has some work parties up there soon, so unless Parks clears it first, someone should take their Katanaboy for a little side project. :-)
Otherwise, the trail is in good shape despite all the rain. Currently there's just some small patches of snow off the side of the trail, but there's a lot more up on the higher peaks in the Chuckanuts. Since the ground is drenched, hikers should be extra careful when the wind picks up. More trees could come down during our winter storms.
